El passat 14 de març vam tenir el plaer de participar en les Jornades Tècniques de Rizocompostatge organitzades conjuntament amb TRANSPARENTA Cicle Integral de l'Aigua. En aquesta jornada vam tenir l'oportunitat de compartir el nostre coneixement, fruit de l'activitat investigadora del grup, sobre els aiguamolls construïts i, més específicament, els sistemes de #rizocompostatge a diversos professionals del sector de l'aigua i els residus. L'objectiu d'aquesta jornada era compartir l'experiència acopiada als darrers anys, així com definir certs aspectes tècnics i econòmics d'aquesta tecnologia per impulsar el seu ús en un futur proper.

💥 Exciting news! The 3rd edition of the BIT Congress, Catalonia's reference event in the bioeconomy field, took place in Vic on March 20 and 21. This edition centered on enhancing water management and highlighting the role of agroforestry systems in landscape resilience.   👏We showcased our Cyan2Bio and Target research projects through an engaging poster presentation.     ♻️ The Cyan2Bio project aims to develop and demonstrate a sustainable process for the production of bioproducts from cyanobacteria, including biopolymers, pigments, biostimulants, biopesticides, and biogas.   💧The TARGET project seeks to establish a territorial planning strategy to promote access to water and sustainable water management in the SUDOE region.    Stay tuned for more updates on our innovative contributions to sustainable bioeconomy solutions!

👋 My name is Livia Vurro, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Turin, Italy. 👩🎓 I’m currently attending the final year of the course as specialised technician for the quality system of chemical and biotechnological industries. My course is held at ITS “Biotechnology and New Life Sciences” foundation of Ivrea, Piedmont. 🔬 I will work in the GEMMA group for a four-month Erasmus traineeship project. Precisely I’ll work at the lab in Campus Diagonal-Besòs, where I’ll assist the researchers during their experiments and write the final report for my graduation.

👩🔬 This week, Eva Gonzalez Flo participated in the Research Beer event hosted by the Escola d'Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (Campus Diagonal-Besòs UPC). She shared our research conducted on campus with students, researchers, and administrative staff. 📚 The objective? To actively disseminate our latest research findings among our colleagues and inspire students to delve deeper into the world of research.
